In April, 2022, Tohoku University celebrated the 115th/100th anniversary (115th as a school/110th as a university), and as a National University Corporation, entering the 4th phase of the mid-term plan, we announced our “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Promotion Declaration” for promoting not only gender equality but also diversity, equity, and inclusion. We reaffirm to create an inclusive and respectful environment for each member of Tohoku University, promoting awareness of DEI and updating the policies.
Our logo represents three principles : diversity, equity, and inclusion.
