Sendai, a city often affected by disasters—earthquakes, typhoons, and heavy rains.
It’s a fact that years without any disasters are rare.
Meanwhile, the number of foreign residents—who are often more vulnerable in times of disaster—is steadily increasing.
How can we share disaster preparedness knowledge with those facing language barriers?

Together with colleagues from the International Research Institute of Disaster Science (IRIDeS) at Tohoku University, we are organizing an event where we share disaster knowledge through a fun “treasure hunt” game.

Anyone with foreign nationality is welcome to join, regardless of their Japanese language level.
