DEI Center

We have a variety of activities such as seminars, symposiums, and classes related to diversity and inclusion in order to promote the awareness of DEI. There are also support programs for female graduate students, including financial supports for participation in international conferences and overseas exchange programs.

Classes

Classes offered as General Education on campus (available only in Japanese)
A course collaborated by three universities (Ochanomizu University, University of Tokyo, & Tohoku University) – “Intro to Gendered Innovations” (available only in Japanese)

DEI Lounge

The DEI Lounge is a space for learning and mutual understanding, where we strive to overcome barriers related to gender, sexuality, disability, race, ethnicity, and more, fostering a society built on mutual respect. Any university member interested in DEI is welcome to use and participate in the lounge

Are you interested in sharing your story? Your story may help and inspire others who are in the same situation or have the same kind of problems as yours. Please send your story to “DEI Circle” via the address below. We will also support your community activities. Please share your activities related to promoting DEI in your communities.

Would you like to share your ideas or works (illustrations, photos, videos, 4-panel cartoons, songs, etc.) on DEI on campus? Adopted ideas or works will be presented on our website with a letter of appreciation.
