We are recruiting applicants for Tohoku University Science Ambassadors program FY2025. We are looking forward to your participation.

Our purpose:

This program aims to support the next-generation female researchers in Tohoku University  so that they grow a sense of mission and responsibility through teaching science to the 1st – 12th students.  The Science Ambassadors also motivate the young learners to become future scientists.

Program details

• At the request of their former schools or other schools in the community, Science Ambassadors conduct seminars and other events at which they discuss their experiences to date and current research projects in order to communicate messages aimed at helping young people feel a more intimate connection with science.
• Participation in the Center of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) symposiums hosted by Tohoku University or other institutions in order to increase awareness of DEI.
• In addition to the above, participation and presentations at events for female students and female researchers.
