About the Forum

Tohoku University upholds Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) as core principles under the “Tohoku University DEI Promotion Declaration.” We are committed to fostering awareness and improving our institutional environment to ensure that diversity is respected and valued for all university members. Our initiatives include proactive recruitment of female faculty members and support for early-career researchers.

As the second DEI Promotion Forum, this event will explore the theme “What DEI Means for Tohoku University—Perspectives from Support Services and Students.” We will discuss the current status and challenges of DEI initiatives at the university. We look forward to your participation!
