Tohoku University Science Angels have changed their name to Tohoku University Science Ambassadors as of April 2022.

We are recruiting applicants for Tohoku University Science Ambassadors program AY 2023. We are looking forward to your participation.

Our purpose:

This program aims to support the next-generation female researchers in Tohoku University  so that they grow a sense of mission and responsibility through teaching science to the 1st – 12th students.  The Science Ambassadors also motivate the young learners to become future scientists.

Program details
(1) Upon request from their former or other schools in the community, Science Ambassadors conduct seminars and other events at which they try to make the younger learners feel closer and comfortable with science.
(2) Participating in gender equality symposiums hosted by Tohoku University or other institutions in order to increase their awareness of gender equality issues.
(3) In addition to the above, they participate in events/activities targeted to female students and researchers.
・Planning and implementation of seminars for high schools, etc., open campus days and science events.
