<TUMUG Events> Sawayanagi Fellows Lunch – Meeting with President Teiji Tominaga (June 16, 2025)

This year as well, we will be holding the Sawayanagi Fellows Lunch as a forum for the President of Tohoku University and its female researchers, etc. to talk. Not only female researchers, but also faculty, staff, and graduate students interested in DEI are welcome to participate. Advance registration is required as light meals will be provided.

Date/time: Monday, June 16, 2025, 12:00-13:00

Venue: Extension Education Building, 1st floor hall (Katahira Campus)

Target: Female researchers at Tohoku University (professors, associate professors, lecturers, assistant professors, research associate, postdocs, etc.), & faculty, staff, and graduate students interested in DEI

Participation fee: 1,000 yen (for lunch in buffet style)

Application: Please apply via Google Form. (Deadline: Monday, June 9, 17:00)

The Sawayanagi Fellows* Lunch was held regularly for Sawayanagi Fellows and female researchers with the aim of providing mentors and role models for female researchers, encouraging networking and interdisciplinary collaborations, and helping to develop female leaders. Since 2020, it was held online, but this year again, following last year, it will be held in person. We will invite President Teiji Tominaga to talk with female researchers and faculty, staff, and graduate students interested in DEI. We look forward to seeing you there.

*What are Sawayanagi Fellows?
Sawayanagi Fellows are female professors at Tohoku University who excel in both characters and academic achievements and who actively serve as mentors and role models for young female researchers.

Please apply via Google Form by Monday, June 9th, 17:00.
*If you cancel after the deadline, you will be charged the participation fee.
*If there are many applicants, the application may close before the deadline.
